Intensive Accelerated Outpatient Non 12 Step

Intensive accelerated outpatient Non 12 Step treatment fills the gap between ineffectual 30, 60, or 90 day rehab programs and services provided by solo practitioners.

Most residential programs offer filler in place of substance, and a bit of respite from everyday life, but they rarely provide any meaningful insights or solutions to your underlying problems. Nor do they offer you the effective tools – CBT, Motivational Enhancement, Naltrexone support, and short term intervention, all on a research base – that actually allow you to leave alcohol abuse and alcoholism behind.

Instead, rehab simply attempts to indoctrinate you into the AA program, essentially selling you something that is available for free at a church near you, and is ineffectual at best. And for this you will pay anywhere from $30,000 – $200,000!

Conversely, individual practitioners, whether therapists, counselors, psychologists, or psychiatrists, usually offer too little with too far between sessions, and are also, frequently, infected with the same AA mythology that infests residential rehab programs. Even when such individuals are well versed and competent, the time frame is frequently “too little, too far between” and clients fall by the wayside, discouraged and disillusioned.

On the other hand, our format- intensive accelerated outpatient non 12 step treatment – developed over more than 2 decades of experience, provides both the necessary intensity and attention while protecting your privacy. Because we only work with individuals and couples – and very occasionally, families – we are able to accurately assess what you are medicating and devise customized solutions that fit your needs and preferences.

Think about that for a minute. We see your alcohol abuse for what it really is, a symptom of underlying conditions that can be resolved rather than medicated. Anxious?

Lonely? Bored? Depressed? Overwhelmed? We’ll teach you how to address these problems rather than avoid them or medicate them with either alcohol or AA.

Yes, we know you may need a bit of relief and respite from your current situation, but, let’s face it, you don’t need a month, much less three months. For the most part, escaping into rehab isn’t any different than escaping into the bottle – it’s just more apt to placate the spouses, family members, employers, and/or judges who’ve finally had enough of your drinking.

Really, five to ten days in intensive accelerated non 12 step treatment is plenty of time to get your head straight, consider what you’re medicating, formulate a plan, acquire some new perspectives, options, and tools, and begin to extract yourself from your destructive choices and make some constructive choices. It’s long enough to begin implementation without exposing yourself by disappearing. Really, you won’t raise suspicions by vacationing in southern California for a week or so.

Additionally, when you do return home, we’ll be available to assist you through the first months as the changes in your day-to-day life settle in. Most programs simply abandon you to AA and hope you’ll fail and return soon. We’re invested in you succeeding.

Remember, when you’re working with us, in intensive accelerated non 12 step treatment, it’s about you, your life, your interests, strengths, desires, and abilities. There’re no groups, no “Steps”, no labels, no wasted time, money, or effort. No blaming and no focus on alcohol or the past.

Our work with you is about your present and your future. It’s about what you want, need, and deserve. Isn’t that what you’re looking for? That’s what we thought.
