Meet Scruffy

Scruffy is Mary Ellen’s Wheaten Terrier. He joined our practice in September 2010.

He is a rescue dog. He was originally owned by an elderly couple who had never had a dog before and they found him to be a handful as he grew up. So when he was a year old, they turned him over to a Wheaten Rescue Group. A friend of Mary Ellen’s adopted him from the Rescue Group and Scruffy had a happy home for a year and a half, until this friend got a very aggressive form of cancer and died 8 months later. Mary Ellen and Phil (her husband) agreed to take Scruffy in and give him a forever home.

Scruffy loves to meet people and loves to come to work. He keeps us safe from delivery men and the US Postal Service. He will keep you safe also. He is hypoallergenic and he doesn’t shed. His little Scruffy self is always waiting to give you the official “Wheaten Greetin” when you arrive at our offices. However, if you are uncomfortable around dogs, please tell us. Scruffy is more than happy to take a vacation when you are working with us.
